Dearest Dalai Lama,

I am so grateful for you and all you have taught us over the years.  Your example of living through stress and turmoil is so very important for us to observe.  Many times I repeat to myself the words you have instructed, "Do not struggle with attachment," "pain is only a sensation," "may I be filled with loving kindness."

I pray for the people in Tibet that they may not be persecuted.  And I trust that God will provide for them and for you and all of us in the coming days.

I have attached a photo of 2 outdoor cats that I take care of that bring much joy.  The big one takes care of the little one.  May the joy we share in this lifetime be enough.

Gratefully,

Marie Gibson
