Dear Mrs. Tutu, your family, and Archbishop Tutu's staff,
We were honored to have you all stay for a brief respite at our family's beach house in Carpinteria, California in May of 1990, during your visit to my friend and boss, George Regas, and All Saints Church in Pasadena CA. Your husband wrote us a beautiful thank you note, and I was given a photo of your family on our front porch. They are framed together, and hang above my desk where I see them each day. I have read Archbishop Tutu's books, and watched the documentary on his visit with the Dalai Lama and am so grateful for the opportunities I had to meet him.
My heart goes out to all of you as I keep you in my prayers. You, and he, will always remain there.
