It was Archbishop Tutu’s strong and compassionate voice that I remember resounding throughout the world when I recall the fight against apartheid in South Africa. He inspired us all into wakefulness and to do whatever we could to bring it to an end, even from so far away here in Canada.

His laughter was infectious and causes me to smile and giggle whenever I hear recordings of it, yet he was a lion- wading into violent crowds demanding they stop. I am so grateful to have been alive at the same time as him to witness and be inspired by him. Forever in our hearts, he continues to inspire the lions and tigers within us all. Deep bow of gratitude ‘Arch’.
