And even more fortunate to be allowed a 15-minute audience with the Archbishop of South Africa to discuss my concerns with him about heterocentrism in the Christian church. His recognition the next month by the Human Rights Campaign for his work in reducing stigma for LGBTQ people was a summation of his response to me.
