Thank you for the various virtual teachings and lessons. Being in your presence is so pleasant and enjoyable. Your persistent message of compassion is how I strive to live each and every day.
Avalokiteshvara - "om mani padme hum".
Last year's 2-Day virtual lesson was filled with deep, compassionate expression - meditation in the air, loving kindness everywhere. I practice taking walks, deep in thought, in the park sometimes even in the dark. Sitting on my warm breezy deck, birds chant, deer's prance and trees dance. I look up and to my surprise a graciously gliding hawk is in the sky. Looking down and right at me, he flaps his wing so I can see. With slow circular descent it silently landed right on my fence. So large in size and out of surprise, I scream from fright, and it took flight. Hearing my soft plea, it returned to me and dropped a feather on my knee. (Pictured)
In Conclusion
Jailed by Franco, my grandfather like you, lived in exile too. Noble and kind, principled and sound of heart and mind, he left Spain forever and came to New York. Never return to the past.
Your 80th birthday Gratitude Tenshug celebration is a forever memory that is a treasure to me. It is my hope we can celebrate your return to The United States of America again as you are dearly beloved.
