Your unremitting love for humanity endeared you to me as a human rights lawyer. Coincidentally, I am sending this message of appreciation for the opportunity to be a part of the Global Joy Summit at a time the whole world is celebrating the anniversary of your coronation as the 14th Dalai Lama. These words credited to you have remained indelibly etched in my memory: "When I meet people in different parts of the world, I am always reminded that we are all basically alike: we are all human beings." As an advocate of equality, peace, dignity, justice and freedom, I want to specially thank you for the reminder that "…we are all human beings" at a time we all appear to have forgotten the fact of our common humanity!
