Dearest Dalai Lama,
I thank you for all you have done to promote joy, peace, compassion, and inner happiness. I feel such love for you and for your soul! It's as though I know you. I think of you as I did my own father. You are very special to me. Thank you for doing the interviews with Bishop Tutu for the writing of The Book of Joy, which my husband and I have read during our morning devotions. It was inspiring and has taught us many lessons. Now thank you for the film Mission: Joy! I will be watching it many times! I smile just watching you laugh and hearing the Bishop cackle! It's wonderful to see your precious friendship. I'm terribly sorry for your loss at his passing. It was a loss for humanity, but a personal loss for you as well. I know you will see him again. It is inevitable. Love always finds a way.
You are an inspiration! I love you. Not just what you stand for. I love you, the person you are. The mischievous, fun-loving, caring, intelligent and wise human being you are. Thank you for being true to yourself!
I wish for you peace and joy in your life. I wish and pray to meet you someday in whatever way God chooses for that to happen. Just being in your presence would make my heart and spirit sing!
Love always,
Melanie
